Understanding the GridSample tool
GridSample is designed with a click-and-point interface and pre-loaded datasets to ensure selection of your gridded population survey clusters is transparent and easy.
To complete your GridSample project, you will be required to cover the following sections: ID, Coverage, Frame, Design, Target, and Sample Size. If complex survey design characteristics are flagged in the Design tab, then the user will be prompted to enter additional parameters in the Strata and/or Spatial tabs.
GridSample provides pre-loaded WorldPop Global gridded population data and boundary files.
You may also upload your own shapefile(s) to define the sample frame, coverage area, or strata boundaries of your survey.
After submitting your GridSample parameters and the tool has selected your survey, you will receive an email with a shapefile and KML file of the cluster boundaries, a sample weights spreadsheet, and a detailed report.
